well, today is the last day of the practical process in this semester.. pretty sad yes, but I will be back with one more blog, the final test blog. well because today is the first day of fasting for the Muslims. we were instructed to go to campus at 1 pm. at around 11 am I went to KFC Coffee to get a cup of coffee and relaxed there until around 12.30 pm. I then went from KFC Coffee to campus. I arrived at around 1 pm. I arrived on campus parked my car and then ran to the kitchen because I thought I was late. but nope, I wasn't late.

     After around 1.15 pm we were instructed to entered the kitchen and then prepared rotation menu 2.2 which is Thai food. Today I prepared and handled 3 menus. 1 group was supposed to handle only 1 menu, but I decided to help my friends since they were fasting and can't really taste the food. so I helped handled the Gai Tod Takrai, Tom Yum Goong, and the Thai Beef Salad. I helped to sous vide the beef and also pan seared it. I also helped to make the tom yum goong from plain shrimp stock into a super flavourfull Thailand nationality dish.

     Today is different from other days. because today we only cooked for our iftar together. iftar is when Muslims people gathered around to break their fasting. so we did iftar with Liwet Style, what is liwet, well liwet is a feast prepared and served on long banana leaves and people sit in line to eat together. well today we combined our food with senior's food. senior cooked Indonesian food which is very delicious. we eat, laugh and share everything together. this is one of our most precious time with my friends and senior that I will never forget. after finished with the iftar I then helped to clean the kitchen by mopping and stewarding. around 6.40 pm Mr.Faisal closed the day with information and then told us to go back home to rest. well
